By changing the story, we change our world.
So I’ve posted a number of video, or trailers for what look like good videos. Now how about making one? This site shows how a small group can make remix videos.
There are a number of ways to participate in a project:
- Film Editor
- Translation Specialist
- Writer
- Graphic Designer
- Film Promoter
I’m interested in the Film Editor role. This could involve making some of my own video clips or photos.
Current video ideas
The one by Marshall Rosenberg looks interesting. Some of his other videos could be cut in. It looks like it might be a good introduction to Nonviolent Communication.
Matt Damon’s, reading Howard Zinn’s 1970 speech on civil disobedience, looks like it would be easy to update with added videos and photos.
I’ll be checking out this site more, looking at the forum, seeing how well past projects went. Without good communication skills, it could be difficult for a group to work towards a common vision. Some NVC skills will be needed to get to what people “need” vs. how to meet those needs.
What if more than one person wants to be an editor of a piece? There could be more than one video remix for the piece. Would that be a problem? Would that lead to competition, or cooperation?
